Jonathan S. Guion serves as the Principal for Jonathan Commercial Properties, specializing in commercial investment sales and the sale and leasing of commercial properties in Virginia. Jonathan is a dedicated and market savvy professional with over 20 years of commercial real estate experience. Jonathan appreciates the power of creative and well organized marketing, has sold and leased over $140 million in transactions and filled almost 5 million square feet of space. Jonathan has a fair yet firm negotiating style and treats his clients as highly valued business partners. As an investor, Jonathan clearly understands property ownership, property values, return on investment and the value of cash flows.
Jonathan grew up in Hampton Roads, has a deep appreciation for the area and has successfully "developed from concept" and renovated numerous commercial properties in the Hampton Roads area. Prior to starting Jonathan Commercial Properties, Jonathan was the Managing Director for Sperry Van Ness Commercial Real Estate Advisors, Virginia Beach, where he was ranked 46th in the country out of over 950 advisors.
Jonathan is dedicated to the real estate industry and is an active member of the Society of Office and Industrial REALTORS (SIOR) where he has been a State Chapter treasurer for over ten years. SIOR is a network of the top commercial REALTORS in the world with a membership of over 2,800 agents in 590 cities and 23 countries. Jonathan has also served as a past chair of the SIOR National Technology Committee.
Jonathan is a past president of the Hampton Roads Commercial Real Estate Council and the Commercial Multiple Listing Service as well as a past chair for the Old Dominion University Center for Real Estate and Economic Development Advisory Board. Jonathan is a multiple time speaker and past emcee for the Old Dominion University Annual Real Estate Market Review and an active author of numerous real estate articles for local business publications.
Jonathan earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in finance and a Bachelor of Science from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. He is a current member of HRACRE, ICSC, REIN, the Commercial Council and the local, state and national Association of REALTORS.
Jonathan has traveled to Hong Kong and China and established relationships for doing business in both areas.
